Hanoi Ba Vi National Park hiking tour – day trip

Ba Vi is considered the ancestral mountain of Dai Viet country. It is called Ba Vi because the mountain range consists of three peaks rising in the middle of the Northern Delta, including Vua peak 1,296m high, Tan Vien peak 1,227m high and Ngoc Hoa peak 1,131m high.

When ever you travel to Hanoi and want to find a cool place, quiet and wild natural environment not far from the city, Ba Vi National Park is always a great place, just far from Hanoi city is about 60km to the west. And it takes about 2 hours to drive from the city center, this place is beautiful scenery, wide space, and It is very suitable for learning about the natural environment combining tourist activities such as walking, trekking, cycling. car, weekend camping.

Thuong Temple worshiping Thanh Tan - one of the "four immortals" according to Vietnamese beliefs (Tan Vien God, Thanh Giong, Chu Dong Tu, Princess Lieu Hanh). On top of the highest peak is the Uncle Ho temple.

The Uncle Ho's temple located on 1296m high, we can hike nearly 1,300 stone steps on the cliff side from coffee point, surrounded by primeval forest with ancient trees soaring into the air. The tree trunks are covered with mold and green moss, the vines are tangled, and the fog is hanging around, but the sun still peeks out from time to time, illuminating the way. The space is both magical and sacred.

1. Itinerary

Morning:

8:00 am, Our guide & driver pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi, then drive to Ba Vi National Park, Upon arrive Ba Vi, check in the gate and then drive up to the top of Tan Vien mountain. On the way, stop to take photos in the pine forest, wildflower garden and drink coffee to admire the whole Hanoi city at the viewpoint. After drinking coffee, we started to climbing to the Uncle's Ho temple - top 1296m high, you hike up 1300 steps for getting view to Hanoi city, we take 2,5 hours. After getting around temple, hike to the Uncle Ho's stupa then go back for having lunch.

After lunch, keep hiking 500 steps more than 1 hour to explore Thuong temple at the second peak with 1227m high. we can stop along the way for taking sky picture and see back Uncle Ho's stupa then visit Thuong Temple.

17:30 PM -  Transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi for finished Hanoi - Ba Vi hiking day tour. Drop off at your Hotel at around 7:30 PM.
