Tam Dao National Park Tours

Tam Dao National Park is a national park of Vietnam, located entirely on the Tam Dao mountain range, a large mountain range over 80 km long, 10–15 km wide running in the Northwest-Southeast direction. The park spreads across three provinces: Vinh Phuc (Tam Dao district), Thai Nguyen (Dai Tu district) and Tuyen Quang (Son Duong district), about 75 km north of Hanoi. (See the map below)

Flora & Fauna

Tam Dao National Park has 1,282 plant species belonging to 660 genera of 179 families of vascular plants, including species typical of the subtropics. There are 42 endemic species and 64 rare species that need to be preserved and protected such as Tam Dao royal jelly (Dendrobium daoensis), long-flowered camellia (Camellia longicaudata), Tam Dao yellow-flowered camellia (Camellia petelotii), fairy flower (Asarum petelotii). ), Molas tamdaoensis (Molas tamdaoensis), Paris delavayi (Paris delavayi)

Animals

This national park also has 163 animal species belonging to 158 families of 39 orders, in 5 classes: Mammalia; birds (Aves); Reptiles (Reptilia); frogs (Amphibia) and insects (Insecta). The garden has up to 239 species of birds with many species with beautiful feather colors such as yellow, white pepper, pink pepper, red pepper, and rare species such as chickens and white pheasants; There are 64 species of mammals with valuable species such as flying squirrels, leopards, tigers, black bears, civets, gibbons, black langurs, etc. There are 39 endemic animal species, including 11 narrow endemic species found only in Tam Dao National Park such as the angen snake (Amphiesma angeli); Boiga multitempolaris (Boiga multitempolaris); Tam Dao toad fish (Paramerotriton deloustali) and 8 insect species.
