Hanoi Botanical Garden: The Botanical Garden is located in the northwest of Hanoi, right behind the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and the Presidential Palace. There are two entrances, the main gate is at 3 Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Ba Dinh; the other gate is at 2 Ngoc Ha Street, Ba Dinh.
The Botanical Garden was built with the main purpose of maintaining, preserving and developing rare plant species of our country. Up to now, after more than 130 years, this place has always preserved and preserved rare plant species of our country. Coming to the park, you will not only admire the large, rare ancient trees but also open your eyes to the appearance of many strange and unique plant species from all over the world.

Red river island: With an area of about 23 hectares, the Red River sandbank is a large green space under the management of Hoan Kiem, Tay Ho, Ba Dinh and Long Bien districts. Recently, the Capital Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 and the Capital Construction Master Plan to 2045, with a vision to 2065 were approved by the Government.
In these two plans, the Red River is identified as one of the five important spatial axes in the development of the Capital, with the development orientation being green space for green parks and the entertainment center as nature swimming pool, flower garden, bonsai garden for central landscape of the city, and harmonious urban development on both sides of the river.
Some places can organize bird watching tours along the Red River island such as the Rock area (Bai Da), Banana garden (Vuon Chuoi), Longan garden (Vuon Nhan).
In the seasons of the year from March to the end of August, you can see some native birds that symbolize Hanoi city, such as red-whiskered bulbuls, ibises, sparrows, bush sparrows, storks, egrets, bitterns, mynas, spiderhunter, flycatching, Kingfishers... from the end of August to February every year, there may be getting more migratory birds from other places coming.
1. Itinerary
Day 1 : Hanoi birding around (L,D)
7:00 am, Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi by motorbike driver - then drive to Bai Da area in along the Red river of Hanoi. Check some birds along the gardens and then discover some bird trails at around bamboo complex. After check around, drive to Vuon Chuoi in another side of red river bank. Check some the birds at banana garden, main target some egret, spiderhunter, kingfishers... Have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, check further birds at Longan garden (Vuon Nhan).
Late afternoon, drive to Hanoi Botanical Garden, check around for looking around some local birds, then drive back to your hotel finish trip at around 17:30.
