Ba Vi National Park located close Hanoi city, Just about 60km at Northwest of Hanoi and whole the park seat on the Ba Vi mountain range named “the lord of mountains” in the Vietnamese folk religion although it is not the highest mountain range in Vietnam. There are many peaks in this range, but the most famous one is Tan Vien mountain peak. The elevation of Ba Vi is 1,281m high with unique terrain, there are many species of  birds  around here.

The weather is special climate with cool temperatures has created a wonderful ecosystem for animals and many species of birds. We are founded at Ba Vi National Park has 169 bird species recorded  as Green Cochoa,  Red – billed Blue Magpie, Blue – Throated Barbet, Great Barbet, Green – eared Barbet, Blue – throated Bee – eater, Dollarbird, Silver- Pheasant, Black – throated – Laughingthrush, Greater Racket – tailed Drongo, Black Drongo, Ashy Drongo, Frok – tailed Sunbird, Hainan blue Flycatcher, Great Tit, Treaked Spiderhunter, Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher, Asian brow Flycatcher, Greater Racket – tailed Drongo, White- throated Fantail, Dollarbird, Asian Barred Owlet, Japanese Sparrowhawk, Besra,  Short-toed –Eagle, Crested Sperpent Eagle, Fire-breasted Flowerpecker, Blue Rock- Thrush, Pale Blue Flycatcher,Oriental Magpie Robin, Chinese Blackbird, Orange- headed Thrush, Eyebrowed Wren Babbler, Silver –breasted Broadbill, Grey- headed Parakeet, Golden- throated Barbet, Crested Goshawk, Short- toed –Eagle.

1. Itinerary

Morning:

6:00 AM - Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi. Transfer to Ba Vi National Park by private car. It take about 1,5 hour. Upon arrive Ba Vi National Park, see the birding guide, then walk around at the mountain knee for some common native birds. After that move by car to the mid of mountain for looking in forest trails for birding some bird along trails. There are some proposing of focus to Green Cochoa,  Red – billed Blue Magpie, Blue – Throated Barbet, Great Barbet, Green – eared Barbet, Silver –breasted Broadbill,  Grey- headed Parakeet... Keep drive to the top of mountain on the way stop over cactus gardens, Thuong Temple, French relics for check further birds in bird lists of the park, and here we may see Ashy Bulbul, Black-throated, Laughing thrus, Chestnut Bulbul, Fujian Niltava, White-gorgeted Flycatcher, Coral-billed Scimitar Babbler, Spot-necked Babbler, Chestnut-collared Yuhina (split from Striated), Greater Rufous-headed and Short-tailed Parrotbills and Collared Treepie...

12:00 PM - Have Lunch Box & Coffee.

Afternoon:

PM - Take another bird trails along the way to Ho Chi Minh statues for looking further birds.

4:30 PM -  Transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi for finished Hanoi - Ba Vi bird watching day tour. Drop off at your Hotel at around 7:00 PM.
