Hanoi Tam Dao Bird watching tour in day trip

Vietnam currently has 15 bird watching sites with the presence of more than 70 bird species: Sapa and Hoang Lien National Park (Lao Cai), Tam Dao National Park (Vinh Phuc), Cat Ba National Park (Hai Phong) , Xuan Thuy National Park (Nam Dinh), Cuc Phuong National Park (Ninh Binh), Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park (Quang Binh), Bach Ma National Park (Hue), Yok Don National Park (Dak Lak) Lak), Da Lat City and surrounding areas, Cat Tien National Park (Lam Dong), Can Gio mangrove forest (HCMC), Tram Chim National Park (Dong Thap), U Minh Thuong National Park, Ca Mau National Park (Ca Mau).

In the Tam Dao National Park has discovered 239 bird species out of 140 breeds of 50 families.
The highest species diversity here is the sparrow order with: 147 species of 73 breeds belonging to 26 families. Then the second order is the Woodpecker order with 15 species, followed by the Citronella order with 12 species...
In total 239 bird with 9 species discovered are endemic to northern Vietnam, there are has 5 species are endemic to Vietnam.

1. Itinerary

Morning:

6:30 AM - Pick up from your hotel in Hanoi. Transfer to Tam Dao National Park.

Upon arrive Tam Dao National Park, see the birding guide, then walk around looking in trails for birding some bird trails. There are some proposing of focus to Blue-naped Pitta, Short-tailed Parrotbill, Grey Laughingthrush and Streak-breasted Scimitar Babbler. Seeing several other sought-after species will be the best way to finalist our trip, and here we may see Ashy Bulbul, Black-throated, Laughing thrus, Chestnut Bulbul, Fujian Niltava, White-gorgeted Flycatcher, Coral-billed Scimitar Babbler, Spot-necked Babbler, Chestnut-collared Yuhina (split from Striated), Greater Rufous-headed and Short-tailed Parrotbills and Collared Treepie...

12:00 PM - Have Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon:

PM - Take another bird trails for looking further birds.

4:30 PM -  Transfer back to your hotel in Hanoi for finished Hanoi - Tam Dao bird watching day tour. Drop off at your Hotel at around 7:00 PM.
