Tam Dao bird watching 2 days tour from Hanoi

Description

Tam Dao National Park including the snake species Amphiesma angeli and Boiga multitempolaris, three amphibians including Paramesotriton deloustali; five bird species, four reptiles and one species of amphibian are endemic to Vietnam.

Among the many species of insects; at least 22 species are endemic to northern Vietnam, with the Orthopteran genera Tamdaora and Tamdaotettix and various species named after the Park, including: the planthopper Maculergithus tamdao, the grasshopper Caryanda tamdaoensis, the cricket Metriogryllacris tamdao and the moth Fansipaniana tamdaoensis.

1. Itinerary

Day 1 : Hanoi - Tam Dao National Park (L,D)
Morning drive to Tam Dao National Park 80km Northwest of Hanoi.  Upon arrive. Check in National Park, enjoy refresh harmony of fresh air and green of mountain then follow a circular route viewing a variety of endangered bird species in along Muong village along Chat Dau valley. Some bird can see here (Short-tailed Parrotbill, Blue-napped Pitta, Red-billed Blue Magpie, Grey Treepie, Lesser Rufous-headed Parrotbill). Keep seeing the bird at some trails. Return to the Tam Dao hotel for check in at late afternoon. Relax at hotel. Then enjoy Dinner, After dinner, we also have an extra program for night watching in the wild-night for 3 hours to see more nightlife animals, insects, snakes, frogs...

Day 2 : Tam Dao  - Hanoi (B,L)
Early morning, walking around to looking some native birds around the way to Television tower. Then have breakfast, keep going bird watching along Dung Dinh mountain area.  Looking some special birds as Purple and Green Cochoas, Chestnut Bulbul, Grey Laughingthrush, Coral-billed and Streak-breasted Scimitar Babblers and Greater Rufous-headed and Short-tailed Parrotbills. Winter visitors that may turn up here between December and March include Black-breasted, Japanese, Eyebrowed, and Grey-backed Thrush and Fujian Niltava. Have lunch at local restaurant.

16:00: Drive back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi around 18:30 finish Tam Dao 2 days wildlife watching tour.
