Van Long: Delacour’s langurs & Bird Watching tour

Description

Van Long is a legendary land and an amazingly beautiful landscape for tourism, while at the same time, the largest mangrove nature reserve in northern delta, Ninh Binh province. Van Long reserve is on area of 2,643 hectares in seven communes of Gia Vien district.

In the Van Long forest, there are 457 species of plants, eight of which are listed in Vietnam's Red Book. There are 39 species of animals, including nine precious species such as languor, Tibetan bear, chamois, Loris, and red-face monkey. There are nine reptiles listed in Vietnam's Red Book such as grass-snake, Varan, slow and harmless boas, and gecko. Out of this one, you also can see some special birds as Rallina eurizonoides, Hydrophasianus chirurgus, Lxobrychus flavicollis, Anas clypeata, Anas falcata and special trachypithecus delacouri langur.

1. Itinerary

Morning:

6:30 AM - Pick up from your hotel in Ninh Binh. Transfer to Van Long Wetland Area.

Upon arrive Van Long, see the birding guide, then walk around looking in trails for birding some water birds and White Shorts Langurs - scientifically named trachypithecus delacouri, then have a boat trip as local sampan around natural mountains for birding and watching Delacour's langurs admire the wonderful landscape of the tourist area.

12:00 PM - Have Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon:

PM - Take a walk to the mid of Van Long Nature reserve conservation center for looking further birds and Delacour's langurs trails. Enjoy the sunset along Cat scratched mountain.

4:30 PM -  Transfer back to your hotel in Ninh Binh. Drop off at your Hotel at about 5:00 PM.
