Cuc Phuong Bird Watching 2 days tour from Hanoi

Rain forest Cuc Phuong trek, Bird Watching, Sightseeing (see the bird listing) bird watching. Located 130km south of Hanoi in Ninh Binh province, Cuc Phuong National Park is an important nature reserve and ecosystem with peaks of over 600 Meters and valleys of subtropical rain forest.  The park is home to more than 300 bird species.

It is a very good place to do a side trip from Hanoi for Bird Watching. These are some kinds of birds you can find at Cuc Phuong National Park (see bird kind): Chestnut-necklaced Partridge, Silver Pheasant, Grey Peacock Pheasant, Red-collared Woodpecker, Red-vented Barbet, Brown Hornbill, Spot-bellied Eagle Owl, Pied Falconet, Malayan Night Heron, Bar-bellied Pitta, Eared Pitta, Blue-rumped Pitta, Rachet-tailed Treepie, White-winged Magpie, White-tailed Flycatcher, Spotted Forktail, Limestone Wren Babbler, Rufous-throated Fulvetta and Black-browed Fulvetta.

1. Itinerary

Day 1 : Hanoi - Cuc Phuong National Park (L,D)
Morning drive to Cuc Phuong National Park 130km south of Hanoi.  Upon arrive. Drive 20km through the rain forest to the Bong Station, then follow a circular route viewing a variety of endangered bird species. Keep seeing the bird at some trails. Return to the guesthouse in late afternoon. Dinner, relax and overnight inside the park.

Day 2 : Cuc Phuong - Van Long Natural Reservation - Hanoi (B,L)
Early morning, walking around to looking some native birds around. Then have breakfast, keep going around visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center and Turtle center -short walk around to see free morning birds, enjoy 1 hou. Have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, we drive to Van Long nature reserve. Take the tiny bamboo boat to visit the “preserving nature area” with Karst landscape and land under the water.  See the water birds as  watching some special birds as Rallina eurizonoides, Hydrophasianus chirurgus, Lxobrychus flavicollis, Anas clypeata, Anas falcata and special trachypithecus delacouri langurs. after 2.5 hours boat ride. Kepp drive back to Hanoi. Arrive Hanoi around 19:00 finish 2 days trip.
